A man has been charged over a fatal stabbing outside a fast food restaurant in Sydney’s inner west on Monday.

About 7:40pm on Monday, emergency services were called to Marrickville Road in Marrickville following reports of a street fight.

When paramedics arrived, they found Sitaleki Filihiahekava unconscious outside a fast food outlet. 

The 32-year-old later died at the scene.

CCTV footage showed the offender running down Silver Street in Marrickville after the attack.

NSW Police confirmed Mr Filihiahekava and the offender were known to each other.

Jacob Tammer-Spence was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in Concord following investigations.

The 31-year-old was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with murder.

A bail application was not made at Burwood Local Court on Thursday, and the case was adjourned for eight weeks.

“Forget about the charges,” Mr Tammer-Spence’s lawyer Deng Adut told reporters as he left the court.
